CARBON (content 2l) for water clarification, activated carbon for all external filters

CARBON by EHEIM is particularly suitable for clarifying the water during the run-in phase of the aquarium. 

Above all, chlorine from the tap water and other chemical substances that have entered the aquarium during the new installation are stored reliably. 

CARBON by EHEIM is used for a short time (about 4 weeks) in the layer structure after the mechanical filter mass (for example EHEIM MECH or MECHpro) and the biological (for example EHEIM SUBSTRATpro) in the supplied mesh bag.

• Binds chlorine and other chemical substances
• Use e.g. during set-up or after treatment with medications
• Use for a short period (ca. 4 weeks)
• Only suitable for fresh water

advice:

Only use adsorptive filter media for a few weeks, as the harmful substances are only attached and can loosen after some time and be reintroduced into the water. At the very least they should be changed regularly. Normally adsorptive filtration is only necessary during aquarium set-up or after treatments with medications.
