The porous material is evenly penetrated by water and retains coarse and very fine dirt particles.
After a short running-in period, cleaning bacteria settle in the structured special foam, which ensure intensive biological degradation of pollutants.
The filter mats by EHEIM are reusable.
For cleaning, they should only be rinsed and squeezed out so that the bacterial cultures are not completely destroyed.
