FIX by EHEIM - prefilter compound and fine filtration - as a separating layer between mechanical and biological filter media.  This specially structured filter material is used after a layer of EHEIM MECH or MECHpro. FIX by EHEIM serves as a separating layer between mechanical and biological filter media.  Here coarser particles are retained and thus removed from the water before entering biological filter layers.  Matching your EHEIM external filter, we also offer blue filter mats by EHEIM for the same purpose.
