Why does unwanted formation of moisture occur in the powerLED+?

Frequent reasons for moisture in the powerLED+:

- Installation height of the LED+ luminaire.

- Insufficient ventilation.

Solution:

- Increase the distance between the LED+ light and the water surface.

- Ensure sufficient ventilation under the cover.

- Assure the legally prescribed minimum distance of LED+ light to the water surface, which must be 15mm! (see also type plate). To avoid moisture inside the LED+-light, we recommend to install the distance of LED+-light to the water surface at the maximum possible distance!

 powerLED+ by EHEIM have IPX4 IPX4 protection against splash water from all directions.

However, under closed aquarium covers there is a high level of humidity which can penetrate into the lamp and leads to the formation of condensation inside the powerLED+ .
