Active filter carbon with high efficiency - especially after medication treatment. AKTIV by EHEIM is acid-washed and activated for automatic water absorption (active surface 1200 m² / g). Therefore, this activated carbon binds chemical pollutants such as pesticides, drug residues and other substances very quickly and stores them in large quantities. The water in the aquarium becomes crystal clear. Particularly important is the use of a treatment of the aquarium inhabitants with medication. AKTIV by EHEIM should only be used for a limited period (about 4 weeks) and then removed or replaced. In the layer structure of the filter, AKTIV by EHEIM is used directly after the mechanical filter compound (eg EHEIM MECH or MECHpro) and the biological (eg SUBSTRATpro) in the supplied mesh bag.
