The magnetic valve enables you to switch off the CO2 supply in the aquarium if necessary – e.g. to regulate the pH or overnight.

Up to 50% of CO2 can be saved by switching of the supply at night as photosynthesis only takes place in daylight where plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen.  At night or without light, the plants consume oxygen, therefore CO2 fertilisation would not be beneficial.

CO2 – 24V magnetic valve by EHEIM for powerLED+

This magnetic valve is connected to the EHEIM powerLED+ lighting and switches off the CO2 supply overnight (provided the lighting is controlled accordingly).

Attention: The magnetic valve cannot be dimmed.

CO2-Diffuser

The CO2 gas is atomized into many bubbles by the diffuser. The bubbles create a larger contact surface enabling the CO2 to dissolve quickly in the aquarium water.
The bubble counter visually controls the dosing of the CO2. As a rough rule of thumb: approx. 20 mg CO2 per litre. This corresponds to about 10 bubbles per minute per 100 litres of water.
