The porous material is penetrated evenly by the water and holds coarse and fine dirt particles.  After a short break-in time, the structured special foam is used to settle cleaning bacteria, which ensure intensive biodegradation of pollutants. 

The fleeces and mats are reusable.  For cleaning you should only rinse and express them, so that the bacterial cultures are not completely destroyed.
